Avalanche in Valais claims more victims
Seven people, presumed to be French, are missing after an avalanche swept away eleven people near Switzerland's southern border with Italy, police reported on Saturday.

One person was able to free himself and raise the alarm, and rescuers have so far managed to recover three people, the Swiss News Agency reported on Saturday.
Information about the condition of those recovered was not immediately available.
The incident happened on Mont Velan, a towering 3,730-metre peak that straddles the Swiss-Italian border.
Switzerland’s National Avalanche Centre had warned of a “considerable” risk of snowslides in the region on Saturday.
