Credit Suisse sets new performance targets
Credit Suisse Group has announced new business targets including a shift to focus on the expansion of new assets under management.
The bank managed assets totaling SFr1.227 trillion ($694 billion) at the end of June. The latest changes aim to increase core business alongside its investment banking activities.
Credit Suisse says it is now aiming for a target of net new asset growth of more than six per cent, up from 5.2 per cent in 1999.
It also says it wants an 18 to 22 per cent return on equity. The ROE rate was just over 18 per cent in 1999.
