Made in Switzerland: sweet potatoes

Sweet potatoes that are 100% Swiss are now available in markets and supermarkets. 

The vegetables are a good source of vitamins, manganese, copper, potassium and fibre, and customers no longer have to worry about buying products with a carbon footprint, as they are now grown locally. Grower Mathieu CuendetExternal link, from the Lausanne area, says it’s taken 5 years to create the perfect growing conditions for the exotic tuberous crop in Switzerland’s colder climate.
