Are there too many summer festivals in Switzerland?
Summer festivals are on the rise. There are more of them and better attended, often more expensive and bigger, sometimes more specialised - these events are reinventing themselves, but at what price?
With the new service “dialogue”, the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) wants to offer you background information on various topics and open discussions on them.
Take summer festivals as an example. Entry costs are rising and the density of festivals is causing problems in various regions of Switzerland. How do you experience this development? And how do you think the festivals could continue?
