The Geneva-based SGS inspection and testing company has announced the acquisition of the United States Environmental Testing Corporation (ETC).

The price of the takeover was not disclosed.
ETC, a vehicle and emission laboratory based in Colorado, had a turnover of more than $10 million (SFr8.1 million) and 35 staff at the end of last year.
The acquisition of ETC, the latest in a series of SGS takeovers this year, marks an extension of the services already provided by SGS Automotive Services, a statement said.
SGS is the world’s largest inspection and testing group.
