Swiss German-language newspaper Tages-Anzeiger has launched a weekly New York Times supplement in English.

The first eight page insert of the New York Times International Weekly was published on Monday with a selection of articles from the United States newspaper.
The Tages-Anzeiger said the supplement targeted readers with an international focus. The goal is to boost the Monday edition of the Zurich broadsheet, with articles on international, economic, cultural and scientific issues – all chosen according to the interests of the Swiss population.
The supplement is already distributed in major newspapers in 28 countries and is read by around six million readers each week.
