Karl-Andreas Kolly studied with Hans Schicker at the Zurich Musikakademie and in Prof. Karl Engel's class in Bern (soloist's diploma in 1991). He teaches a professional class at the Winterthur Musikhochschule. The Basle Symphony Orchestra is one of Switzerland's leading orchestras.
