An exhibition of typography as a design element brings posters to life.
This content was published on
Typographic posters as an art form first blossomed during the days of the Bauhaus, the famous German school of design that welcomed students from 1919-1933. In the 1960s, playful and expressive variations of the more controlled German form appeared once again. Contemporary typographical posters show a mix of styles and remain a fascinating place to experiment with letters and forms, as an exhibition at the Museum of Design in Zurich shows.
