Thüring Bräm (*1944 in Basel): Diplomas in piano and conducting in Basel. Musicology at the universities of Basel and Heidelberg. From 1970-1973 he lived and worked in the USA. 1973-1987 head of the Basle Music Academy. He was head of the Lucerne Conservatory from 1987 onwards, and was the first rector of the Lucerne University of Music from 1999 to 2001. Dimitri (*1935 in Ascona). At the age of seven he decided to become a clown. After school education, he went to learn pottery in Bern. There, he also studied music at the Conservatory and took lessons in drama, ballet and acrobatics. Studies in Paris with Marcel Marceau, who soon admitted him to his troupe. First solo programme in 1959, in Ascona.
