Alpine nations discuss joint approach to crime
The interior ministers of Europe's alpine nations are meeting in the German border town of Constance to discuss joint policing and greater co-operation in immigration control.
The delegates attending the conference include the Swiss justice minister, Ruth Metzler, and the interior ministers of Austria, Germany, Italy, France and Liechtenstein.
The ministers are focusing on a report prepared by a working group for information and security partnership, which began its research a year ago.
The ministerial talks will also deal with the fight against money laundering, the trafficking in illegal immigrants and right-wing extremism.
The Swiss delegation also includes canton Thurgau’s head of justice, Claudius Graf.
