Fresh verdict in FC Thun sex scandal

Two men connected with Swiss first-division side FC Thun have been found guilty of having sexual relations with a minor.

However, they were found not guilty of the more serious charge of rape.

The two men, aged 19 and 20, were sentenced to fines of SFr4,500 ($4,418) and SFr2,100, suspended for two years, plus smaller fines of SFr400 each.

The younger man was also sentenced for pornography.

The 20 year-old must pay the victim, who was 15 at the time, compensation of SFr2000, and the other SFr1500.

The charge of rape against the two was the most serious of all the charges brought in the Thun football club sex scandal, which erupted last November.

In May five players were sentenced to fines for having sex with a minor.

In both trials so far the judge said that the sex had been consensual.
