Swiss-born painter Paul Klee (1879-1940) was one of the most musical of all painters. In 1993 members of a master class at the International Festival of Lucerne, formed the cooperative composer's group 'Groupe Lacroix', named after the chalet de Lacroix in Blonay, Switzerland , part of the music centre of the Hindemith Foundation.
