Travel network wins tourism prize
SwitzerlandMobility, the national network for non-motorised traffic, has won the Milestone 2008 award for outstanding services to tourism.
Non-motorised traffic covers hiking, cycling, mountain biking, skating and canoeing, and the judges praised the project for making nature accessible in a particularly attractive way.
Second prize went to the "Diversity sold simply" project in canton Graubünden, and the third Milestone was awarded to the "Stanserhorn Ranger" project, which provides fun and accessible tips to tourists visiting the Stanserhorn mountain in canton Nidwalden.
A special sustainability prize, awarded for the first time, went to the five-star "Ferienart Resort and Spa" in Saas-Fee.
