A profile is a personnal piece of writing which allows for description and subjectivity 

– 8000 characters.

– Teaser and lead must make clear the journalist has met the person and that the story is a profile.

– More personal/intimate writing with reportage elements.

– A profile includes observations by the journalist regarding character traits, activities, motivation, feelings.

– Main picture should ideally be an illustration by our picture desk or a photo by one of our photo journalists/freelancer.
