
Bovines enjoy golden years at Swiss cow retirement farm
Sixteen cows and two bulls ranging from seven to 21 years old enjoy a retired life at Werner and Erika Horber's farm in the Swiss canton of Thurgau. Farmers are paid a monthly fee of CHF200 ($198) per cow thanks to financial support from cow sponsors as part of the Viva La Vacca project.
