Bern stadium Previous Next Bern's new national stadium opens at the end of July. The legendary Wankdorf stadium was the venue of Germany's World Cup victory in 1954, and it has now been entirely rebuilt. Its first major championship will be Euro 2008, jointly hosted by Switzerland and Austria.
