Hofer, a press photographer since he was 22 years old, is unparalleled in his ability to capture spectacular images of his home canton of Valais and the world around it. He focuses his gaze on all that is human: his contemporaries, politics, sports, art… all photographed with a curiosity and enthusiasm still intact at the age of 55.
