Fribourg dresses up for five days of carnival.

Ten thousand people gathered in Fribourg’s Old Town on February 22 to witness the Carnival of Bolzes and the sentencing to death, yet again, of poor old Rababou, the unloved embodiment of winter. (All pictures: JJ Béguin)
