Shirley Grimes: The Long Road Home
Singer-songwriter / Folk. Irish born singer-guitarist Shirley Grimes has made Berne her home for the past twenty years. And from the beginning her bell-like voice and genuine musicianship opened many doors in the Swiss pop-rock and folk scene. But despite numerous collaborations and five marvelous cross-over albums under her own belt, Grimes has never forgotten her roots. The Long Road Home, her latest recording, is a Gaelic affair throughout. Along with her new combo this bard bewitches the listener with dreamy tunes which recall her defining adolescent years on the green island.
