Renowned comedy award for Swiss comedian Patti Basler
Swiss poetry slammer Patti Basler has scooped the prestigious "Salzburger Stier" award, described as "the most prestigious cabaret prize in the German-speaking world".
Basler, a farmer’s daughter and a former teacher, considers herself a performance poet and is known for her satirical narratives. In this report, she visits the Boswil school in Aargau and shows students how to slam.
The radio prize was awarded for the first time in 1982 and is worth €6,000 (CHF6,867). It’s supported by public radio stations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and South Tyrol in Italy.
