On this recording young cellist Sol Gabetta plays arrangements of operatic works, Lieder and chansons by Fauré, Bizet, Offenbach, Tchaikovsky and Gounod a.o. Argentinian Sol Gabetta is a Swiss resident and lives in Olsberg (Canton Basel). There she recently launched her "Solsberg" chamber music festival.
