Lavaux tourism booms but wine makers in the Unesco heritage site struggle to make a living
The Lavaux vineyards have been part of the Unesco World Heritage Programme since 2007. It’s a tribute to the unique interaction here between man and nature, and is designed to protect the region from creeping urbanisation.
