Events focusing on tango dancing are being held in Zurich between July 2-11 - as part of the city's festival, which gets underway later this month. In the run-up to the events, tango lessons are being offered at various locations throughout Zurich.

According to the organisers, the concert highlights of the festival include a performance by the Nuevo Quinteto Real. Also in concert will be Rodolfo Mederos - described as one of the most innovative tango musicians.

The events will be taking place throughout the city, where the Theaterhaus Gessnerallee will serve as the main venue. Other venues include the Tonhalle concert hall, the Corso Theater on Bellevue, and the Kunsthaus. Zurich's legendary Bahnhofstrasse will be the scene of a street party on July 3.
