Yana Tannagasheva

Yana Tannagasheva is a Shor Indigenous activist, poet, and co-founder and member of the International Committee of Indigenous Peoples of Russia (ICIPR). She also served as an alternate member of the UN Indigenous Coordinating Body (ICB). Olga Kostrova is an advocate for the rights of Russia’s indigenous peoples, a regional representative in the Facilitative Working Group (FWG) of the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform under the UNFCCC, and a participant in the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
