Head in the clouds
A giant landart painting entitled "A story of the future" by French artist Saype shows a young girl reading a book. The image can be seen on a hillside in Les Rochers-de-Naye above Montreux, Switzerland.
To produce the artwork covering approximately 6000 square meters about 600 liters of biodegradable paint made from natural pigments, water and a milk protein was needed. The paiting is a part of the celebration for the 125th anniversary of the Glion Rochers-de-Naye train line.
The self-taught french artist has become a pioneer in the field of grass painting – an artistic blend of land art and graffiti which he uses to transform hillsides into enormous portraits. Born in 1989, the artist currently lives and works in Moutier, Switzerland.
