Deer hunting
Keeping numbers down in Graubünden.
In Switzerland this year more than 14,000 deer were counted – the highest number in ten years. Most are to be found in Graubünden, around the national park. But in this region more than 4’000 deer must be shot, to prevent their habitat from becoming overpopulated. There are over 5,000 hunters here, including an increasing number of women. (SF/swissinfo)
