Hanneli-Musig: Blümchen Wunderhold - O Little Flower Wondrous Fair

Hanneli Musig (CD Zyzglogge) swissmusic

A ten-volume collection of folk music, which contains rural dance music from the 19th to the middle of the 20th century, was recently published in Switzerland. These dances were collected by Hanny Christen (1899-1976), an ethnologist from Basel. She was known all over and was fondly referred to as 'Little Music Hanny' by the musicians. Shortly after the publication of the collection in 2001, the 'The Hanneli- Musig' was founded, an ensemble dedicated to the repertoire in this collection.
