Joseph Joachim Raff (1822-1882): String Quartets Nos. 2 & 6.
Quartetto di Milano. J.J. Raff (born in Lachen, Sitzerland) is one of those composers who stand a little apart from the great masters. Dictionaries have treated him rather shabbily, and he is accused of electicism - and yet, Raff's music gives us a different view of the musical tendencies during the second half of the 19th century.
