Zurich Zoo presented its newborn elephant calf Zali on Wednesday. The 19-year-old elephant mother Farha gave birth to the "little calf" at 2.22 am on Easter Saturday. Baby elephants usually weigh between 100 and 150 kilograms at birth. The name Zali was inspired by a Hindu name and means "immediate appearance", zoo director Severin Dressen told the media on Wednesday.
