The exhibition, organised in close collaboration with the Art History Museum in Vienna, features over a hundred objects and images showing four hundred years of arts and crafts with winter as the subject. See how the artists portrayed winter with their exquisite pictures, admire the full-length tapestries originally intended for palaces, the Dutch scenes of fun on ice, bedroom frolics with fur-clad courtesans in Paris, shivering farmers’ children, carnivals and Lenten fare, winter sun and blizzards.
