Erotic recipe book wins award

Ruth Johnson-Illi seduced the jury with her "Recipes of Love" Keystone

A collection of recipes with an erotic flavour has been named the best Swiss cookbook of the year. Author Ruth Johnson-Illi won the Golden Laurel award 2000 for her first work, "Rezepte der Liebe" [¨Recipes of Love"]¨.

The book, published by AT Verlag, contains 100 recipes from around the world using ingredients recognised as aphrodisiacs. It is lavishly illustrated with 80 colour photographs.

The jury heaped praise on both the recipes and the way they were illustrated.

“Seductive recipes, a first-class layout and unconventional photos, which are erotic in their own right,” it said as it awarded the prize.

The Golden Laurel was first awarded last year.
