1929 diving mast fished out of lake Geneva

A mobile diving tower once used by swimmers has been fished out of the lake of Geneva and is set to become a museum piece. It was an attraction for swimmers at the Bains d'Ouchy between 1929 and 1939, until the pool closed and the object was dumped in the lake. The mast with its 2 metre wide metal base will be displayed in the Lake Geneva Museum in Nyon as part of its exhibition: "Splash – a history of swimming in Lake Geneva".
