Strichmusig Neff: Appenzeller
The Strichmusig Neff is a five-piece family band from Appenzell with leader, composer and dulcimer player Guido Neff surrounded by his talented kids. The remaining instrumentation of two violins, cello and double bass can only rarely be heard nowadays. This long sought-after debut album, entitled Appenzeller, strikes a chord due to crystalline performances of traditional local music. The programme is enriched by Viennese and Hongarian style pieces which have strong similarities with the music of eastward Appenzell.
