Basel zoo’s efforts to save the Indian rhinoceros

Basel zoo has the most successful Indian rhinoceros breeding programme for the species in captivity, with 32 babies produced so far. It’s considered a role model for other zoos to follow. But in the wild, Indian rhinos are not doing so well: they are highly endangered because of illegal poaching, (Julie Hunt, swissinfo.ch)
