Intrum Italy names former McKinsey consultant Risso as CEO

MILAN (Reuters) – Intrum Italy, a credit manager which is majority owned by Sweden’s Intrum with bank Intesa Sanpaolo holding the remaining 49%, has named Enrico Risso as chief executive, it said on Tuesday.

Risso, formerly at State Street and McKinsey where for 12 years he oversaw projects concerning non performing loans (NPL) co-leading the NPL global service line, became Intrum’s general manager in July 2023.

He replaces Alberto Marone, a former UBS banker who had been appointed in 2021.

Intrum confirmed long-standing Intesa executive Giovanni Gilli as chairman of the board, whose deputy chairman is Massimo Della Ragione, a former Goldman Sachs banker and current Professor of Practice in Investment Banking at Milan’s Bocconi University.
