Lucerne Jazz Orchestra: Don’t Walk Too Far
Contemporary big band jazz. This 19-piece orchestra led by David Gottschreiber documents at best the nowadays state of art at the Jazz School Lucerne, which was founded in the 70ies. In the past decade composition courses extended the programme and soon led to frequent exchanges among the students of the single faculties. So Don't Walk Too Far offers an excellent overlook on the efforts done. The orchestra itself, which consists mostly of former Lucerne alumni, meanwhile is a fix unit. The repertoire comprises compositions of its band members.
