What else is happening?
Some 80 side-events have been organised by government agencies, international organisations, civil society and business. Representatives from some of the world’s most prestigious electronic media will take part in the World Electronic Media forum. Those taking part in the summit will therefore have contact with people from all over the world who have hands-on experience.
Another highlight is a meeting of 400 international experts to discuss the role of science in the information society. This is taking place at Cern, the particle physics laboratory near Geneva where the World Wide Web was born.
