Should experiments on animals be completely banned?
For the fourth time, the Swiss people have rejected a ban on animal testing. The initiative, which was put to the vote on February 13, aimed to ban all experiments on humans and animals along with the import of new products developed using such methods. Parliament considers this to be too extreme and believes that the current legislation is sufficiently stringent.
